Société francophone de Maillardville pays particular attention to the elders of the community and offers them several projects:

PODCAST RADIO – Giving the floor to the elders
Our podcast Allô Maillardville which aims to collect and relay the voices of seniors, will resume as soon as soon as BC Health measures will permit it. In the meantime, do not hesitate to send us your ideas, your desires or your recommendations on the subjects you would like to address!

GARDENING – as part of the New Horizons program and in partnership with the SDE and École des Pionniers de Maillardville 
The seniors gardening project began at the end of March 2020 at the École des Pionniers de Maillardville. The elders and the school children gardened together. They planted seedlings in garden containers. These bins are maintained throughout the summer by the young people of the French summer camp with the help of the elders. Harvest is scheduled for Fall. On this occasion, a party is organized with the participants for the arrival of the first vegetables! This intergenerational project promotes the involvement and participation of seniors in the Francophone community while spending friendly moments around the vegetable garden.
