Student Intern - Coordination Assistant

The Société francophone de Maillardville (SFM) is looking for a dynamic, creative, and organized intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the francophone community and cultural sector.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event coordination, communications, and community programming while contributing to the growth of the francophone community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with community activities, cultural events, and the Festival du Bois
- Support communications, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials
- Assist with event logistics and on-site coordination
- Communicate with artists, partners, volunteers, and community members
- Provide administrative and general support to the SFM team
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- Organized, creative, proactive, and comfortable working independently and in a team
- Strong interest in events, communications, culture, and community development
- Strong French communication skills
- Familiarity with social media and digital tools is an asset
- Previous experience is an asset, but not required
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of the employment period;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Be legally authorized to work in accordance with the relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
